What to bring from the Philippines to Canada | FREE Travel Checklist for Solo Female International Student
Packing for a travel trip for a few days or weeks can be fun, but not so much when you are away for more than a year. In this blog post, I’ll share with you what I bring from my home country, the Philippines, to Canada.
Generally, airlines provide their passengers with two check-in baggage (23kg each), one hand-carry (7kg), and a small bag as part of the ticket cost. If you’re an international student moving into a new country for an extended period, trying to fit your things into just three suitcases and a small bag is a real struggle unless you add baggage or ship your items from your home country.
In my case, I opted for the default. So, I had to prioritize what I was putting inside my suitcases. My travel checklist has six categories: Toiletries, Clothes, Shoes, Electronics, Bags, and Others.
Note: This Travel Checklist is based only on my experience as a Solo Female International Student in Canada. Regardless of your status and situation, I hope you still find this checklist helpful and tweak it as needed.
Before you dive deep into packing, I highly recommend preparing all the necessary documents you need for your travel and during your stay in the country where you’ll be studying (in this case, Canada).
